The Prison of Elders is a new co-operative multiplayer mode where you and two other players face off against waves of enemies. Each round begins with a modifier before sending you into a fight. There are 8 modifiers in total including those that affect your shield, melee damage, enemy melee damage, weapon damage, and more. Of course the real question is about rewards. After completeing each 5 or 6 round session you will enter a treasure room where you'll open 3 chests.

As Destiny prepares to expand again with the House of Wolves DLC later this month, Bungie has been busy slowly teasing the fan base with new information about the content that's included. While many players were surprised and even a bit disappointed to learn that the expansion wouldn't contain a new Raid , there's a number of new features which should help fill that void. We're now learning this week that the upcoming Destiny expansion holds even more content, introducing a battle arena called the Prison of Elders which is also bringing a long requested feature with it to the game.
